Church History The
Church of the Holy Fire was founded in 1997 by Pastors Rick and Barb Meade.
The first service was held on July 13, 1997 in the garage of their family
home.
Music tapes were used for Worship and the Word of God was preached by the
Pastors.
Three people were in attendance at this first service.
The scripture that “where two or three are gathered there I will be in
their midst” was in action at that first service.
The Lord anointed the dedication of those three people and the church
grew. Within
four months the congregation outgrew the garage and moved into the little schoolhouse,
which is our current location.
God provided a name for this congregation.
The Lord said that “Holy Fire is the name I have chosen and I will
always live up to MY name”.
God has proved faithful to His word.
Each service at Holy Fire is an outpouring of signs, wonders, and
miracles.
Salvations, deliverance’s, healings and miracles are part of every
service.
As Pastor Barb leads the congregation in prophetic worship, the glory
cloud can be seen descending on the congregation. The pure Word of truth is preached by
both Pastors Rick and Barb Meade and the Lord is faithful to accomplish that which
HE
spoke. Currently the church has an attendance of 70 people. Our services
can be over-crowded at times.
In
early
2005, our current building has gone through much renovation and plans to expand
to the adjoining property are in progress.
As Holy Fire continues to grow the vision is to
build a 1250 seat tabernacle. This larger building would not only be the
sanctuary, but also house the many ministries being birthed in these last days. We
can see the word given in 1997 be fulfilled. “Holy
Fire is the name I have chosen and
I will always live up to MY Name" |
